We love good news!
Last week I had 3 appointments...a sono, an appointment with the high risk OB (Dr. Amanze), and my first appointment with my delivery doctor (Dr. Shepherd), plus I had to do the 3 hour blood glucose testing. We got good news all around! The results were normal for the blood glucose! YAY! No gestational diabetes! Thursday morning I was having contractions about every 3 minutes, but when I would lay down they would go away after 10 minutes or so, so I wasn't very concerned...but it did however remind me of the horrific back labor with Brynlee and once again I was extremely thankful for elective csections! I had a sono that day and he looked great! He was actually measuring about 2 weeks ahead of schedule which is phenomenal considering one of his big risks with me having this infection is him being small for gestational age! He was weighing approx. 3lbs 10oz! They checked my cervical length since I was having contractions and it was 4....and they aren't worried about preterm labor unless it is at a 2.5 or lower. Dr. Amanze said things looked great and he looked healthy! We will have one more sono in the middle of March and after that, Dr. Amanze will no longer be on my list of docs to see! Slowly but surely we will get all of them checked off! :) Then I saw Dr. Shepherd. He was completely shocked by what was going on with his abscess and said he had never heard of anything like this before. He said for right now our goal is 36 weeks, hopefully this antibiotic will buy our little man a couple more weeks, but if or when the pain comes back and we are at 36 weeks, he will deliver. If not, we have our little man's birthday set for April 23rd! WOW! That's 9 weeks! I CANNOT believe we are in the single digits already! I am so humbled by what God has revealed to us this pregnancy. There has been numerous times I have been scared out of my mind, but luckily I have had Him to cling too and the anxiety would go away. Although there have been numerous trials, I wouldn't change a thing. I have grown so much and learned so much about who our true friends are and who Andrew and I are as a couple and parents.
