Brynlee's perfect face, held together with glue!

Once again, it's been over a month. I am not saying that nothing has been going on, if fact the complete opposite...we have just been so busy that I have totally forgot about the blog! With it being so HOT the last few weeks, Andrew has been working like a mad man and sometimes puts in more hours in 1 week than most do in 2! I was feeling so bad that he wasn't seeing Brynlee that I would put her to bed early and wake her up when he got home just so he could see her. I know it sounds terrible but I can't go 24 hours without seeing her, I can't imagine days! It totally stinks not spending much time with him, but he continues to remind me that the more he works, the less I have to. He knows I am willing to work more but he loves me being at home. It makes life easier on everyone! Which leads me to my projects....I had never push mowed the yard until this spring. For those of you who know my dad, NO ONE could mow but him! So this year I knew that I needed to take on that task along with all other outdoor duties so that Andrew wouldn't have to worry about anything after his LONG days at work. Well, Andrew has been telling me since we moved in that he wanted to landscape. My response, " ya ya someday"....well I mowed about 3 times before I started making plans to landscape. And of course me idea was not small....I decided to do ALL the way around the house! The last 3 weeks I have been busting my butt everyday outside to get something in place and when Andrew has a free minute he joins in! When I get something in my head, I obsess about it until it's done! It definitely hasn't been easy, I think my entire body is broken, and Brynlee....well that's a whole other job and makes the progress pretty minimal! haha! Luckily on Saturday Andrew was home and we got a ton done! We are supposed to go to St. Louis this weekend, BUT I told Andrew we will not go unless it is DONE! So....HOPEFULLY we get done! Pictures will be coming soon!! :)

JUNE 7--Our 3rd anniversary! It doesn't seem like that long ago that we said our vows! It will be 8 years at the end of June that we started dating and that is beyond crazy! We talk a lot about the fact that I was only 16 when we started dating and he was 20, AND of course how my parents just thought that was the perfect scenario....haha yeah right! Now we talk about Brynlee and Andrew is positive that she WILL NOT date until she's 30! Oh he makes me chuckle! To think of everything we have been through together is just amazing. To think about how our relationship has developed is breath taking. He is absolutely my soul mate, I believe with all of my heart that God made us for each other! He is the most kind, generous. and loving human being, not to mention an AMAZING father. He is the best friend I always hoped for and I am truly blessed to call him my husband!

Our daughters perfect face is now held together with glue! On Thursday she took quite the spill, leaving her bleeding....and I MEAN BLEEDING and quite a wreck! At first I didn't know when there blood was coming from, because....it was everywhere! I soon realized the blood was pulsating out of her left eye brow! I called Andrew to see if he would be home soon (I had been up for about 32 hours at that point given that I worked the night before) but he was still working. I was EXTREMELY exhausted (and quite emotional) and honestly didn't know if it was safe driving to Champaign. But after I called Mom, my adrenaline set in and off we went. Brynlee was ALL smiles at that point laughing and cheesing in the back seat (luckily we had just turned the car seat forward facing so I could see her)....I gave her the paper towel and when it started to drip I would tell her to wipe her and eye and she would! (Glad she thought this was a good time to listen!) I was so thankful Dr. Sellet thought it would be too much for her to handle stitches so he decided to glue instead. Brynlee did SO AWESOME! She laid on the chair and let them clean it just fine. The nurse was shocked and said most adults cry during that part. When he started to glue it, him and a nurse were holding her head and I was there so she could see me, after about 3 minutes of laying there her face got red and her eyes just kept moving side to side looking at the Dr, then at the nurse, then at the Dr again and so on, she got the biggest pouty lip I've ever seen, but held it in until they were done. It was heartbreaking! But as soon as I lifted her up she was fine again. No swimming for a while which has been hard for her she will go out and just sit in the empty pool!

Playing when we got home from getting it glued!

I think that's all for now! :)
