Quick Update

Well I haven't posted in a month now....where does the time go?! Boston turned 4 months last Saturday and to "celebrate" 3 of my best friends and I took our kids to Miller Park Zoo. Brynlee had SO much fun with my friend, Breann's, 8 year old! Brynlee pretty much thought she was the coolest thing ever! When we got home she said, "I want to go eat lunch with that girl again, the one we went to the animal shelter with." Animal shelter = Zoo. :) Brynlee is rotten, I'm not going to lie. Sometimes I think I am going crazy...or maybe I really am. Mom says she is paying me back for the terrible toddler I was for her. I would guess she is right! Sometimes she is the sweetest and I get some many compliments on how well behaved and polite she is, but at home she is ROTTEN! :) There is definitely some jealousy and I know most of it spills from that. She loves her brother...well, for the most part! A couple weeks ago, Boston was sleeping on the floor and I was trying to get some things done. The second I left the room, he started screaming. I turned around to see Brynlee running from him saying, "I need to tell he sorry!"....SO I replied, "what did you do?" And in the most innocent voice ever she says, "I just bite he fingers." I definitely turned around and chuckled before I scolded her. (Boston was no longer crying). Since then she has been complaining about her teeth hurting. She is definitely working on her 2 year molars.

Bostons 4 Month Stats: (Thursday August 16th)
Weight: 13lbs 13oz (exact same as Brynlee) 25%ile
Length: 24.5 inches (also the exact same as Brynlee)

He is in 3 month clothes. He is a MAJOR jabber month. He eats about every 4 hours during the day and goes about 9.5 hours at night. I continue to struggle with mastitis, but I finally got some bigger bras and that has helped....I have actually gone 3 weeks without a spell! He also has a major latch issue so we have been struggling with that for a month now. So I go back and forth with pumping exclusively and nursing. It has been a lot of work, a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.....literally. But our deep freeze is officially full so I'm not sure how much more milk I can save. I have enough to get him about 4 months on frozen milk. He is such a good boy! I thought Brynlee was good...but Boston is so much more laid back! Brynlee was rolling all over the place by now and at 5 months started crawling backwards....I do not believe Boston will be a go getter like his sis. He is much more content to chill and not work at anything if he doesn't have to. And he is such a snuggle bug! Brynlee was NOT at all....so I absolutely love this. His bili level continues to go down. It was at 3.8 a couple weeks ago and she decided that she won't check it again...it's just stair stepping SLOWLY!

Brynlee has potty trained herself! haha I am not joking. Honestly I think diapers are easier with 2 kids running errands or what not (public restrooms completely disgust me), but I guess if she is ready...... A lot of my coworkers said to let her do it on her own...she will be less likely to have accidents so I just put the potty chair downstairs and let her run around in underwear. She started going a month ago and has not peed in a diaper or pull up since....even at night. She is still working on the pooping thing, but she is definitely getting there! I am not going to push her, she will figure it out. The biggest lessons I have learned being a mother of 2 is that no 2 kids are the same and pick your battles. I definitely wouldn't enjoy being a mom if I were high maintenance!

We went to Indianapolis this weekend with Andrew's family. It was so nice to get away. We went to the Children's Museum and Zoo. Brynlee and Boston were both asleep by 7 tonight and I am WIPED.

So this was just a quick update...pics and more stories soon...hopefully! :)

Oh...I have another cat scan on Friday! Praying for good results! God has blessed us so much with a healthy little boy through some medical madness, and he has healed me more and allowed me to grow in FAITH so much more than I ever could have dreamed of! Whatever the results are, His plan is perfect!
