Wow! It has been a month again, I am terrible at this! But like always, time doesn't seem to stop when you want it to! I only have one more week off of work and it just makes me sick to my stomach! I started getting emotional about it a couple weeks ago! But, a lot has changed in the last month, first of all my baby is 2 months old now! WOW! Absolutely insane! I cannot believe how fast it has gone! She hasn't seemed to lose any hair and she is as gorgeous as ever! I could stare at her all day long and not get bored!
Sleep patterns have changed a bit...we think partially because whenever we go anywhere she is held constantly, so we have decided that we aren't going to let that happen anymore! She plays on the floor so much during the day and loves it, plus I am the one that has to deal with her at night after she's been held all day or night, not cool! On Feb 8 I got my wisdom teeth out, something that was supposed to be done last April, but that's when I found out I was pregnant! It went pretty well, no dry sockets or anything but was taking Vicodin for a couple of days which also played with Bryner's sleep! Poor girl has been through a whirl wind! Then later that week I got mastitis! It was the most PAINFUL thing I have EVER experienced, FAR worse than a c-section! But of course that was the same week Mom had bronchitis so she wasn't able to help! By the weekend I was ready to pull my hair out! Pumping every 1-2 hours day and night plus being awake with Brynlee so Andrew could sleep...it was quite exhausting! Thank goodness it didn't last forever!
The next week we started a bedtime routine to get Bryner on a schedule for Daddy when I go back to work. She has done pretty well adjusting! She loved going to bed at midnight and then sleeping til 9 or 9:30, which was great for me, but won't be so great for Dad! She is in the crib now, occasionally crying herself to sleep, which kills me, but I know it has to be done! Andrew puts her into bed with me when he leaves for work and she loves that...she is such a cuddle bug! She takes about an hour and a half nap in the morning, a two hour nap in the afternoon and sometimes a half hour nap after dinner!
We have day/night care basically in line for when I go back to work. Mom offered back in May to keep her one night a week and then we asked Uncle Timothy to stay one night because Andrew has to leave between 5:30 and 6 and I won't get home til 8:30 or 9. Then I will work a weekend night so that Andrew can have her to himself. Since she's been born we have had lots of other offers so I don't think we will have a problem, just hope we can get something consistent going so that I am not always wondering who has her when! Plus I have to figure in drive time if she is going back to Chenoa, Fairbury, or Forrest to anyone which isn't a positive for me with sleep or the pocket book! Luckily Aunt Ro will be moving to Mahomet soon, so we might be taking advantage of her!
We have Brynlee's 2 month appointment on Friday so I will have another update then!
